Things that can dramatically change every piece of the economy, and can have an impact globally. Look at the size of the markets it would disrupt if it took off, and you’ll see why. International shipping alone is a trillion dollar industry that would be increasingly irrelevant when anything can be printed anywhere. Why ship coffee cups from China when they can be printed on-demand from a Kinkos, or in your own house? Industrial parts are a massive business. What happens when 3D models of every part on earth wind up on The Pirate Bay? What happens to fashion when anyone can print off their own Prada sunglass frames?  I feel like it’s 1994. The ecosystem is starting to form, even if the tools are crude, and now the creatives are starting to show up and experiment with what’s possible. Keep your eyes open.
